Admission - To be eligible to participate in a bingo game.
Admission Packet - The minimum number of cards that you must purchase as the price of admission. This varies from different halls.
After Game - The game played after the end of a regular session.
Auto-purchase - When the Bingo software automatically buys cards for the player at the beginning of every new game.
Bingo Board - The display board, where it’s showing each number as it is called.
Bingo Books/Booklets - A number of different bingo sheets bound together to form a book/booklet to us one for each game at a bingo session.
Bingo Card - The Bingo card contains 24 numbered spaces and one blank space, with which you play Bingo.
Blackout - A pattern where you must cover the whole card to win. This can also be called Coverall
Bonanza Bingo - A progressive coverall Jackpot. It’s usually being played as the 13th game of the session.
Breakopen - A multi-play card.
Buy-in - Buying bingo cards or Admission Packet.
Caller - The person who calls out the bingo numbers drawn.
Cash-In-Prize - When the prize is a cash payout. Usually taken from the buy-ins.
Catch-up - A method that automatically marks the drawn numbers on the players card.
Chat Room - A screen where you can read and exchange messages with other players.
Consolation Prize - The prize offered on a few special games if there is no winner in a predetermined number of calls.
Coverall - See “Blackout”
Early Bird Game - A game that starts earlier than usual, or the first game of a session. The first game of a session is however more commonly known as a Warm Up.
Face - Is the individual bingo card containing 24 numbers plus the free space.
Flimsies - Typically a flimsy sheet that costs one or two dollars and pays a bit more than a regular game.
Four Corners - A pattern where the numbers in the corner of the card must be covered to win.
Free Space - The center square of the card. It's like a Joker.
Game Board - A display that shows the pattern needed to win that particular game.
G.T.I. - An electronic system used to play multiple packs at once. Usually requires a fee and is only allowed one per player.
Hardway Bingo - A bingo card without the free space.
Instant Bingo - Break open tickets which contain the letters B I N G O, numbers or bingo card faces.
Jackpot - Special prize usually awarded for achieving a difficult pattern.
Lucky Jar - Special prize for the lucky number on a card.
Main Stage Bingo - The main event of a bingo session.
Minimum Buy-in - The least amount you must spend to be able to get prizes.
Money Ball - A number drawn before the game. This number will double your winnings if bingo is hit on that number.
On - A player is “On” when they lack only one number for a bingo.
Pattern - The shape which is needed to cover a card.
Parti - Cash bingo where the prize depends on the number of players.
Postage Stamp Pattern - A pattern where you match four numbers to form a postage stamp (a 2 x 2 grid) in any of the four corners.
Prize Bingo - A game played for a fixed prize.
Quickie - Numbers are called quicker than usual and the card must be full to win.
Rainbow Pack - A packet that allows players to play for three or four different prizes.
RNG - Random Number Generator
Six-pack, Nine-pack - Six or nine numbers in a block, on one card.
Speed Bingo - When numbers are called quickly and you can get bingo in only three numbers.
Speed Game - A coverall that is called very quickly. Special game with one card sold at a time.
Table Board Bingo - Players can win different prizes by completing specified patterns.

Tickets - Pages on which the main stage bingo is played.
Validation - Eligibility required to win additional jackpot amounts.
Wild Number - For example, if 12 is drawn, all number ending in 2 should be covered.
